People in the San Carlos Park and Estero area may see or smell smoke today, June 25, 2025.

The San Carlos Park Fire District says several authorized burns are taking place throughout the district. A controlled burn is also happening at Estero Bay Preserve State Park.

These burns are planned and monitored to reduce wildfire risks. Officials ask drivers to be careful if smoke affects visibility on the roads.

There is no danger to the public.
