Two Suspects in Custody After Bank Robbery at Truist Bank in Fort Myers

Two suspects are in custody after a bank robbery at the Truist Bank in Pagefield Commons off Cleveland Avenue, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

The robbery happened around 10 a.m. Tuesday. No one was hurt, and there is no threat to the public, according to LCSO.

Shortly after the robbery, Fort Myers Police stopped a vehicle connected to the case at US-41 and Maravilla Lane. All northbound lanes were blocked as officers took the driver into custody.

Deputies said the scene remains active as the Violent Crimes Unit continues the investigation.
